time flies...
i've got a B- for my first ever essay in uni!
now you ask: is that a good thing or a bad thing?
i don't know actually; it's good that i at least got a B grade, but i seriously dislike the 'minus' sign there. hrrmph.
i wonder why some of the guys in lit. can get As. i mean, isn't army supposed to be totally mind-numbing and physically stimulating only (as opposed to intellectually stimulating)? or maybe all those unused brain cells are rejoicing at being put to use once again. haha!
anyways, it's just terrible to sit with guys talking about army. all that army lingo, and all that reminiscing about push-ups and dumb stories and jungle camps. you just zonk out. and this army talk NEVER dies down! no matter whether you're still in army or you've ORD-ed (see, even i know now what it means) or you've not been in reservist for eons, army talk is what bonds "men".
as if those little two tiny years of their existence spent in the army defines them and pulls them back from the present as well.
ah, nostalgia..
which is what i felt today as we celebrated apple & lump's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! =D for all the jc fun times and countless whines and pigging-out.
and now, i shall leave to partake of my home-made banana split with chocolate ice cream!
bonne nuit (:
