CIA: conviction in action
agent-in-training: izzy
mission 1: high rope element
was pretty scared at first. when i was up there things just felt so different. i tried 3 obstacles of sorts: walking across the pole, across a wire while holding on to another wire above, and the most trying one: getting from one net onto two tyres then onto the net again. i wanted to give up at that last obstacle coz my arms were aching! but the ppl below spurred me on. they asked if i wanted to give up when i was already halfway there and i decided not to. so finally i made it to the two swinging tyres in the middle! though i took up a lot of time. this taught me perseverance to run this Christian race & how i really can do it if i set my mind to it.
mission 2: worship
what can i say? God's spirit just moved mightily amongst us speedlighters. He also touched me during the NOWservice- night of worship. i felt this heat on my whole face though the auditorium was airconditioned and i just cried a lot. it was really wonderful. can't explain it in words. truly, down at His feet is the most high place.
mission 3: nightwalk
we headed into the jungle and we were given a task: to walk alone/in pairs in the jungle, just following this path ahead of us surrounded by trees & all. was supposed to go with chiu, but in the end we went alone. once again this was a challenge for me. but i was not feeling anything when i faced that long stretch of road in the dark, in the jungle. as i was walking, i just enjoyed the quietness, the solitude, the faith that there would be people(my group mates) at the end waiting for me. then we were subject to lots of flour/mud/pond-wading/blindfolds for almost 3 hours! really tested how much i can hold up and how i reacted in situations.
mission 4: messages/sermons
blessed by the sharings - everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial. silence & solitude are just what we really need for quiet time. how i must be like daniel - he did not compromise and did not bow down to other kings or defiled himself. the main message in the camp: holiness. something that i thought i couldn't reach becoz the plain fact is i am not holy. but the Word says "be holy, for I am holy".
missions: accomplished

ho ho ho!
here are the twins of the day: jinx and me!
my december 25th was spent having a little cellgroup makan. should've seen the spread! pasta, log cake, MANGO MOUSSE (yum), pudding, chips, drinks. what a fattening holiday this month has been. haha. we then headed for 3pm service in church. heard Bobby Michael's message which was thought-provoking. he said, "instead of having a merry christmas, why don't you have a MARY christmas?", mary here referring to the sister of martha & lazarus; the mary who wiped Jesus' feet with her hair & sat at His feet & chose the better part. so yup..time to reflect.
well well i'm gonna be off for speedlight camp the whole wk! so don't miss me =D

IZZY'S BAAACCCKK!!!!
the AllForChrist camp was a BLAST! God really manifested His presence there. i was fully present for the service on the 2nd night and when i saw almost ALL the campers kneeling my heart was just so uplifted & full of praises & gratitude to God. as a campcom, i was soo busy doing all sorts of stuff in the camp that i think i really needed spiritual refreshment, so that 2nd night i felt much more at peace after the service. the games rocked, the campfire rocked & was super hot too, the camp leaders & elders rocked, the campers rocked, CAMPCOM ROCKED! really blessed by all that happened in the camp. got to work with a great bunch of people who encouraged me in every way. (: oh and i was knocked out from 3pm on 21st Dec to 11am on 22nd Dec. hahaha.
oh and thank God for my results; they're not bad by all accounts. i wasn't worried & didn't dwell on it at all since the exams ended..and He blessed me with these results! wheehoo. now to aim higher for the coming sem.
okays now off to sleep! my bad habit of sleeping in the wee hours of the early morn are back. adios (:

bonjour!
today is the first time in a loong while i woke at 7am! :) yay. this week is off to a great start. the AllForChrist camp's on monday..so exciting! well not when i think of the mozzie bites. and today's the day of TheNoiseWeMake. thank God my throat pain's all gone!! like finallyy.
oh and today's also the first time in a loong while i actually can wake up for morn service. heh. so yes i'm off for a wonderful sunday!

BLESSED!
great day of blessings today. i discovered that my granny had given me & my siblings vouchers to use last dec and it was stuck in my cupboard till i came across it accidentally & decided to put it to good use! ended up with some girly stuff - mascara & eyeshadow. though i've never tried putting mascara. watch out for longlash izzy!
then i met the wonderful birthday babe ting to hang out! met her in alleybar. nice cosy place with no smoke lurking around(coz it was afternoon i guess). we walked around town, a place i've not been to fer ages. the christmas decorations were really nice! big wooden soldiers drumming; tall sparkling christmas trees. it was just too crowded everywhere though.
well she bought this clutch that's really nice & classy. i wanted one too, a white pure one(hahaha) but i didn't have enough money! oh and i bought the birthday gurl perfume. okay i admit..i bought a bottle for myself too! but hey, we DON'T stink. =D
so we headed home with weary legs and happy hearts. though i had only eaten famousamos cookies and a peanut waffle! wuz feeling quite hungry when. amazingly there was food! from my mum's good friend that is. soo happy that i wouldn't starve. haha.
anyways, my mucus is really flowing :( i HATE being sick! and my throat still hurts a lil' when i swallow though it's better now. and the musical & two camps're comin up! really pray i'll recover soon.
speaking of the musical: SPEEDLIGHT presents TheNoiseWeMake, our very own musical wit song & dance at 1pm! any of my friends who wanna come drop me a msg (: ciao!

a time for everything.
there's a time to work- ransacking my brain for ingenious ideas and making up list after list after list(not of christmas gifts, mind ya, but namelists, pack list, dorm list...) ---
the paper i'm holding is the effort of all our sweat, brain juice, and toil. be amazed. be very amazed.
then there's a time to fellowship- play worship praise share joke pray. (not necessarily in this order) ---
uno stacko! currently a fave to play. what a ruckus at starbuck's we made last week! this leaning tower of stacko was our highest reached.
NTUcellgroup mates! watched a docu on the endtimes. The Second Coming's drawing closer...and what are we all doing about it? s.o.s!
and then there's a time to be alone. ---
regarde! the slightly askew look i give that shows i am deep in thought.
okay fine i know you weren't taken in. solitude's something i would never wanna give up though! it's a time to be myself around myself.
